Connect Resume Studio to your AI assistant

MCP is a secure connection between Resume Studio and an AI chat app. Once connected, the app can look at your CVs and prepare suggested changes. Nothing is added to a CV until you review and apply it.

The assistant can prepare a proposal, but Resume Studio waits for you to choose Apply before saving any change to a CV.

Before you start

Turn on the connection in Resume Studio

Sign in to Resume Studio. Use the account that owns the CVs you want to work on.

Open MCP settings. You can use the button below or find MCP under Settings.

Choose Enable MCP. Leave this page open while you connect your chat app.

ChatGPT

Add Resume Studio to ChatGPT

Check your ChatGPT workspace first

Custom MCP apps currently require ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, or Edu on the web. Your workspace admin or owner may need to enable Developer mode.

Install the skill. In Plugins, open Skills, choose Create then Upload, and select the downloaded ZIP.

Open ChatGPT on the web. Go to Settings, then Apps.

Turn on Developer mode if prompted. It may be under Advanced settings, or your workspace admin may need to enable it.

Choose Create. Name the app “Resume Studio” and paste the connection address shown above.

Choose OAuth, then Scan tools. Sign in to Resume Studio and allow the connection when asked.

Start a new chat. Select Resume Studio from Apps, then ask: “Show me my CVs before suggesting any changes.”

Codex

Add Resume Studio to Codex

After installing the skill above, add the secure Resume Studio connection and sign in:

Start a new task and try: “Use $resume-studio to show me my CVs.”

OpenCode

Add Resume Studio to OpenCode

OpenCode needs a short settings entry before it can open the Resume Studio sign-in page. If someone helps manage OpenCode for you, you can send them the technical steps below.

Once connected, try: “Show me my CVs before suggesting any changes.”

Claude

Add Resume Studio to Claude

In Claude Code, install the skill above, then add the connection and sign in:

claude mcp login resume-studio

In claude.ai, upload the skill ZIP under Settings → Features. Add the Resume Studio MCP connection if custom connections are available for your account.

Once connected, try: “Use the Resume Studio skill to list my CVs.”

If something does not work

Three quick checks

I cannot find Create in ChatGPT.: Your ChatGPT plan or workspace permissions may not include custom apps. Ask the workspace admin or owner to enable Developer mode.
I am asked to sign in again.: That is expected the first time you connect. Use the same Resume Studio account that owns your CVs.
I want to disconnect.: Disable MCP in Resume Studio settings, then remove Resume Studio from the connected apps in your chat client.
